In this project, we created children's books with math skills embedded in them. We created 51 books, each designed to teach a specific skill related to counting, numerals, classification, shape and spatial sense, patterning, or measurement. The books were designed to be used with the demonstration-practice procedure. We conducted two single-case design studies to investigate the efficacy of an intervention using the children's books (one in Summer 2022 and one ongoing).
This project is a collaboration with Corey Peters, Ed.M. (UIUC early childhood special education graduate).
